Selection and Interview Process at SITA
The interview process at SITA typically comprises three rounds, starting with a technical, Managerial or Case study proceeding to a HR interview for applicable roles.
1. Application / Resume Screening: The process typically begins with the application and resume screening stage, where candidates apply through the company’s careers portal or via campus placements. Recruiters then shortlist applicants based on factors such as academic performance, relevant technical skills in areas like IT, networking, cloud, or data, and any internships or project experience.
2. Online Assessment: Candidates are required to complete an online assessment, which may include aptitude tests covering quantitative and logical reasoning, technical multiple-choice questions related to programming or networking fundamentals, and occasionally a few easy-to-medium level coding problems.
3. Technical Interview: The interview generally covers key subjects such as programming languages like Java, Python, or C++, along with fundamental concepts in data structures and algorithms. Since SITA operates in the aviation networking domain, a strong understanding of networking fundamentals is especially important, along with knowledge of databases and SQL. In addition to theoretical questions, candidates are often asked practical, scenario-based questions, including explaining their projects in detail, writing or analyzing code, and solving real-world technical problems.
4. Managerial Interview: Candidates usually undergo one or two rounds designed to assess their technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. The discussion typically includes core subjects such as programming languages like Java, Python, or C++, along with basic concepts of data structures and algorithms.
