Selection and Interview Process at Capgemini
The interview process at Capgemini typically comprises three to four rounds, starting with a Phone screening or aptitude assessment, then technical round, proceeding to a HR interview for applicable roles.
1. Online Application: Candidates apply through Capgemini’s careers portal or via campus recruitment. Shortlisting is generally based on academic performance, eligibility criteria, and resume screening.
2. Online Assessment: Shortlisted candidates are invited to complete an online assessment that evaluates both aptitude and technical skills. The assessment commonly includes quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal ability, and basic programming concepts. Depending on the hiring drive, it may also include coding questions, pseudocode, flowcharts, debugging, computer fundamentals, SQL, and multiple-choice questions on programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.

The discussion focuses on programming fundamentals, problem-solving ability, and core computer science concepts. Interviewers commonly ask questions on programming languages, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), DBMS, SQL queries, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, SDLC, and projects or internships mentioned on the resume. Candidates may also be asked to write or explain simple coding solutions and discuss their approach to solving technical problems.
4. HR Interview: Candidates who successfully clear the technical round proceed to the HR interview. This round evaluates communication skills, professionalism, cultural fit, and career aspirations. Common questions include “Tell me about yourself,” “Why do you want to join Capgemini?”, strengths and weaknesses, willingness to relocate or work in shifts, teamwork experiences, handling challenging situations, career goals, and salary expectations (for experienced candidates).
