Selection and Interview Process at Cognizant
The interview process at Cognizant typically comprises three to four rounds, starting with a Aptitude, technical assessment, proceeding to a Managerial interview for applicable roles, and concluding with a final HR interview.
1. Application / Registration: On-campus candidates are selected through their college placement cells. Off-campus candidates can apply directly through Cognizant’s careers portal or other assessment platforms.
2. Online Assessment / Aptitude Test: Aptitude / Quantitative questions (math and logical reasoning), Verbal / English section, Coding / programming problems (mainly for technical roles), For some GenC roles, the test consists of covering quantitative, logical, and English sections.
3. Communication / Language Assessment: This assesses how well you can communicate, which is important for client-facing or collaborative roles.
4. Technical Interview: If you clear the assessments, you go to a technical interview. It’s generally a 1-on-1 (or maybe small panel) video call / in-person depending on the drive.
