Job Description
- Develop, Reuse, and maintain robust, scalable automation scripts and frameworks using relevant tools and programming languages (e.g., Robot Framework, Selenium, Python, JavaScript).
- Execute manual and automated test cases, analyse results, and generate clear, actionable test reports.
- Automate GUI, API, and database tests and support automation of SSH or other command-line interfaces where needed.
- Identify, log, track, and retest software defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and work closely with developers for timely resolution.
- Manage changes and run regression test suites (primarily automated) to ensure new code changes do not break existing functionality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies — sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives — to help embed quality throughout the SDLC.
- Create and maintain documentation for automation frameworks, test cases, runbooks, and provide knowledge transfer to peers.
Eligibility
- Hands-on experience in test automation development using Robot Framework or similar keyword driven frameworks/tools.
- Demonstrable experience automating GUI, API, and database tests; experience automating API, DB, and SSH interfaces.
- Working knowledge of Python and ability to write clean, maintainable test scripts.
- Practical experience testing medium-to-large applications or integrated systems.
- Solid understanding of core testing methodologies (functional, regression, API testing) and experience running regression suites.
- Experience with defect management tools (JIRA, Bugzilla) and basic familiarity with version control (Git).
- Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to understand and empathize with customers’ needs and expectations.
- Working knowledge in Linux operating systems.
