Selection and Interview Process at Genpact

The interview process at Genpact typically comprises three rounds, starting with a Aptitude, technical assessment, proceeding to a HR interview for applicable roles.

1. Resume Shortlist / Initial Screening: The application process begins with an initial screening where the recruiter or hiring team reviews resumes and shortlists suitable candidates. If your profile matches the requirements, the recruiter may contact you via phone or email to confirm your basic eligibility, discuss your background and experience, understand your interest in the role, and schedule the next steps in the selection process.

2. HR Screening: It typically starts with a self-introduction or the common “Tell me about yourself” question. The interviewer may ask about your current role, key responsibilities, and overall experience. This round also covers details such as your notice period, salary expectations, and willingness to relocate or work night shifts if required. Additionally, your communication skills and overall suitability for the organization are assessed during this stage.

3. Technical Round: During this stage, the interviewer evaluates your domain knowledge, particularly in accounting and finance fundamentals such as journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Depending on the specific job requirements, you may also be asked questions related to key process areas like Order-to-Cash (O2C), Invoice Processing, Accounts Payable (AP), or Record-to-Report (RTR). The goal of this round is to determine your practical understanding of the process and your ability to handle real-time business scenarios.

4. Final HR / Offer Discussion: During this conversation, HR reviews important details such as the proposed compensation package, your availability to join, and the terms and conditions of employment. This stage may also include a formal offer discussion covering the offer letter, relocation requirements if applicable, and an overview of employee benefits and company policies.
