Job Description
- Provide support services to assist customers and field staff with the configuration and troubleshooting of installation and functionality queries with Windchill Products
- Provide a customer centric service through their understanding of the customers’ issue, knowledge of PTC products, and comprehension of Support Services processes
- Developing expert level knowledge of the Windchill installation and functionality issue and keep PTC Knowledgebase evolved.
- Creating software configurations, duplicating issues, troubleshooting, investigation of technical problems and tracking the resolution of those problems in collaboration with other PTC departments like R&D and QA as well as communicating the same to customer
- Assist in the creation and implementation of technical training and documentation related to the above topics
- Collaborate with other offices worldwide to provide first class support for mission-critical customers
Eligibility
- 0-2 years of Windchill functionality/configuration Administration
- Freshers with strong Java & Database Knowledge
- Good command on Java and Database is a must
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Operating System basic Administration skills (Windows/Unix)
- Basic understanding of networking and configurations
- Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer
- Oracle Database Administration Certified Associate

Selection and Interview Process at PTC

1. Application / Resume Screening: The interview process begins with the application and resume screening stage, where candidates typically apply through campus placements, referrals, or LinkedIn. Recruiters shortlist applicants based on the strength of their projects especially those related to product or analytics their technical skills such as Java, databases, and basic system knowledge, as well as their communication abilities.
2. HR Screening Round: Once shortlisted, candidates move to the HR screening round, which is usually a 20–30 minute call. In this round, the focus is on understanding the candidate’s background through questions like “Tell me about yourself,” their motivation for joining PTC, their interest in a product or analytics role, and a general discussion of their resume.
3. Online Assessment / Technical Test: This stage typically evaluates a candidate’s overall aptitude and technical foundation. It usually includes sections on logical and verbal reasoning, along with basic coding questions focused on data structures and problem-solving skills. Additionally, candidates may face multiple-choice questions covering core computer science concepts such as data structures, operating systems, and database fundamentals.
4. Technical / Product Round: In this round, candidates are evaluated on their problem-solving approach, along with their ability to handle basic coding and debugging tasks. A strong emphasis is also placed on product thinking, where candidates may be asked questions like how they would improve an existing product or design a new feature. 5. Case Study / Assignment: This round is designed to assess analytical and product-thinking skills, where candidates are expected to analyze a given product problem, propose meaningful improvements, and define relevant metrics or key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
