Selection and Interview Process at Zoho
The interview process at Zoho typically comprises three to four rounds, starting with a Phone screening or aptitude assessment, then technical round, proceeding to a HR interview for applicable roles.
1. Screening / Aptitude & Programming Test: Includes a combination of general aptitude, logical reasoning, and programming output–based questions (predict the output). Typically consists of 20–30 questions, covering both quantitative problems and short code snippets. Primarily focuses on fundamental programming concepts in C, C++, or Java, along with problem-solving ability.
2. Coding / Problem-Solving Round: Candidates are required to solve 5–7 algorithmic problems, usually on a laptop or in a pair-programming environment. Questions commonly cover arrays, strings, matrices, dynamic programming, trees and graphs, hashing, and well-known problems such as group anagrams, meeting room allocation, and similar logic-based challenges.
3. Technical Interview: Projects listed on your resume, focusing on your role and decisions, Data Structures and Algorithms, such as linked lists, BFS/DFS, and time–space complexity, system design and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, language-specific knowledge, including topics like memory management, pointers in C/C++, or multi threading in Java.
