Selection and Interview Process at NTT Data
The interview process at NTT Data typically comprises three rounds, starting with a Aptitude, technical assessment, proceeding to a HR interview for applicable roles.
1. Online Aptitude & Technical Assessment: The first stage may be an online test covering quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal ability, and basic technical questions. Previous Technical Graduate Trainee candidates have also reported questions on Data Structures, SQL, OOP, DBMS, and programming fundamentals.
2. Group Discussion: Some campus hiring processes include a Group Discussion (GD) round. This evaluates your communication skills, confidence, ability to express ideas clearly, listening skills, and teamwork. Candidates may be given a general social, technology, or current-affairs topic and expected to contribute logically while allowing others to participate.
3. Technical Interview: The technical round is particularly important for the Technical Graduate Trainee role. Questions can be based heavily on your resume, projects, programming languages, and technologies you have mentioned. Reported interviews have covered OOP concepts, programming fundamentals, SQL, DBMS, Data Structures, and coding/output-based questions.
4. HR / Managerial Interview: The final round generally focuses on communication, career goals, behavioral fit, adaptability, and willingness to work with the organization. Typical questions include “Tell me about yourself,” “Why NTT DATA?”, “Why should we hire you?”, “What are your strengths and weaknesses?”, “Are you willing to relocate?”, and questions about your projects or internship experience. NTT DATA also notes that hiring-manager interviews can assess collaboration, adaptability, communication, and alignment with company values.
