Selection and Interview Process at Schneider Electric
The interview process at Schneider Electric typically comprises three rounds, starting with a Aptitude, technical assessment, proceeding to a HR interview for applicable roles.
1. HR/Recruiter Screening: The first round is usually a brief screening conversation covering your education, previous experience, communication skills, technical-support exposure, salary expectations, and shift flexibility. You may also be asked why you want to join Schneider Electric and why you are interested in a Service Desk role.
2. Technical / Service Desk Interview: This is the most important round. Questions are likely to focus on IT troubleshooting and service-desk fundamentals, including Windows troubleshooting, Active Directory, password/account issues, VPN, networking basics, Outlook/O365, hardware/software problems, and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
3. Managerial / Operations Round: A manager or team-lead round may assess your problem-solving approach, customer handling, prioritization, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure. Expect situations involving an angry user, multiple simultaneous tickets, a high-priority incident, or an issue that needs escalation. Schneider Electric’s interview guidance also emphasizes customer interaction and demonstrating technical capabilities clearly.
4. HR / Final Discussion: The final discussion generally covers career goals, strengths and weaknesses, availability, shift/on-call requirements, communication skills, and cultural fit.
