Selection and Interview Process at CGI

1. HR / Screening Round: I developed strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, along with a basic understanding of IT concepts such as networking, operating systems, and troubleshooting. I am comfortable working in rotational and night shifts, as I understand that customer support and service desk operations require 24/7 availability.
2. Technical Round: I have a basic understanding of Windows operating systems, including file management, user settings, and common troubleshooting steps such as checking network connectivity and restarting services. I am familiar with the password reset process, where a user’s password is reset through the system or Active Directory after proper verification and then the user is guided to log in with the new credentials and update it if required.
3. Managerial Round: I am prepared to handle situation-based questions in a calm and professional manner. If I had to deal with an angry customer, I would first listen carefully without interrupting, show empathy, and assure them that I understand their concern, then try to resolve the issue or escalate it to the appropriate team if needed. When asked about a time I solved a problem, I would explain a situation where I identified the root cause of an issue, took necessary steps to fix it, and ensured it did not happen again. To prioritize multiple tickets, I would focus on urgency and impact, addressing high-priority issues that affect many users first while following SLA guidelines.
