Selection and Interview Process at Weekday
The interview process at Weekday typically comprises three rounds, starting with a technical assessment, One-on-One round, proceeding to a Managerial or HR interview for applicable roles.
1. Application & Resume Screening: After you apply, the recruitment team reviews your resume to assess your customer support experience, communication skills, familiarity with CRM or ticketing platforms such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, or Salesforce, and your overall fit for the role. Relevant SaaS or technical support experience is an added advantage.
2. Recruiter / HR Screening: If shortlisted, you’ll have a 20–30 minute conversation with a recruiter. This round typically covers your background, previous support experience, interest in joining Weekday, salary expectations, notice period, and availability. The recruiter may also evaluate your verbal communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
3. Support Skills Assessment: Some candidates may be asked to complete a practical assessment that evaluates customer support abilities. This can include responding to mock customer emails or chat messages, prioritizing support tickets, troubleshooting common customer issues, and demonstrating clear written communication. Basic knowledge of CRM or helpdesk software may also be assessed.
4. Hiring Manager / Technical Support Interview: This is the main interview round, where the hiring manager or support lead evaluates your problem-solving approach and customer service skills. Discussion topics commonly include handling difficult customers, troubleshooting account or product issues, managing multiple support tickets, escalation procedures, and maintaining customer satisfaction metrics such as CSAT or response times.
5. Final HR Interview: The final round focuses on your behavioral skills and overall fit with the company. Expect questions about teamwork, adaptability, handling pressure, learning new tools, and working in a fast-paced environment. The interviewer may also confirm your compensation expectations, joining timeline, and answer any questions you have about the role
