Wipro, Accenture Plans to Hire 1,88,000 Freshers in FY23. Top IT companies hiring more number of freshers this year. Wipro plans to hire 38,000 freshers whereas Accenture will be hiring 1,50,000 freshers. So a total of 1,88,000 workforce will be hired.

Due to the increase in the demand Wipro is planning to onboard huge number of freshers. Accenture Will onboard 150,000 new employees on the first day who will use VR headsets to work from the metaverse.
Wipro Hiring Plans
In FY23, Wipro plans to hire nearly 38,000 freshers. The company hired twice as many freshers as it did the previous fiscal year. Additionally, the company added 45,416 new employees for the year ended March 31, 2022, bringing its total headcount to 2,43,128. Compared to FY21, which added 14,826 employees, this was a very significant increase.
During Q4 FY22, Wipro’s attrition rate was 23.8 percent, compared with 15.5 percent at the beginning of the fiscal year. For its junior employees, the company has also adopted a quarterly promotion cycle to manage attrition.
Wipro’s Global Chief Human Resources Officer, Saurabh Govil said, “the pressure continues as demand is robust. He also said that they are charting out a career path for the next five years for the fresh joiners.”
Govil added, “As we onboard large numbers of freshers, we have given them a clear career path, both from a compensation and career standpoint for the next five years,”

Accenture Hiring Plans
According to analysts tracking the industry, nearly 40 percent of these jobs will be in India, the company’s largest center, followed by the Philippines and the US. Currently, Accenture has a global headcount of 6,99,000, and over 2,50,000 of those are in India.
Kamal Karanth, Co-Founder, of Xpheno, a specialist staffing solutions company said, “The company’s net headcount addition of 1.6 lakh over a 12-month period is a record in its own growth terms. While the number refers to Accenture’s global hiring, the majority of the action is contributed by the Indian workforce that accounts for over 40 percent of the total.”
